How grading works

Every place gets the Hounds letter grade, the same scale used across the whole Hounds family.

A+AA- B+BB- C+CC- DE

Pick an overall grade, then add detail if you like. Eight optional scores say what you loved (or didn't):

The grade you see is the grade visitors gave. Rankings weigh how many reviews a place has, so one enthusiastic review can't outrank a hundred.

Fair and safe by design

About the place

Reviews cover the site, the facilities and the stay. Never named children, counselors, staff or other campers.

No photo uploads

Photos can capture children and other guests, so reviews are written, not photographed.

Worried about a child's safety?

A review is not the place for an accusation. Tell the camp director or the proper authorities straight away.

Judges

Pass a short quiz on the house rules to become a certified CampHounds judge and vote in the Hall of Fame.

Keep it accurate

Listings come from open data and can be out of date. Flag a bad website link and we'll take it down.
